Mike Wiest has been in goal for a remarkable stretch of play of late, leading a Naperville North defense that has recorded eight straight shutouts over a three-week span. The last team to score a goal on Wiest was Waubonsie Valley in a 1-1 tie 0n Sept. 12. The eight-game streak enters the week tied for 14th all time in IHSA history. The Huskies have outscored their opponents 17-0 during Wiest’s streak, which has seen the team’s record rise to 12-1-2. Wiest recorded two clean sheets last week, blanking Glenbard East on Thursday and Downers Grove South on Saturday.
